The Attraction of the Unknown

1 min· loading · ·

Berlin in the fall has a specific weight. It’s cold, crisp and filled with the kind of anticipation that only happens before a major life shift.

I remember the German Day of Unity. It was my first day after arriving. While the city was quiet for the holiday, a pipe in my building decided to burst. I spent four hours watching the water flow and the firefighters arrive while I stayed locked onto my laptop handling tasks and calls through the chaos. It was a strange coliving introduction and the vibes were too hipster, but it set the tone for everything that followed. Navigating the ship trough the tides.

Between work and the final logistics of leaving Europe, there was the magic. Reconnecting with long-time friends and finding new ones in dark clubs and local «Kneipen». It was a wild, industrial time that I’m grateful for.

Looking at this globe on my last night, I had no idea «going with the flow» would turn into a multi-year journey to wherever the wind takes me. I didn’t know how long it would take. I just knew I was ready to move, to follow my heart and the light.
